Shrinking and contraction is no issue, and no curling. Our installer is very particular about the glue he uses, and does not do floating floors in RVs.
There are some scratches, which is pretty much a given fulltiming with 4 cats. When they run or skid to a stop they can leave tiny scratches.
After the fact, research showed us there was a type of construction of bamboo flooring that is harder and more scratch resistant than the one we chose. It would have been worth an additional expense for a harder bamboo. However, no regrets on changing to this flooring.

I've never been to Las Vegas! These photos are excellent. It looks amazing. The pics of the animals are awesome! Love that sleeping lion. My mom would love the tigers. =)

We agree with your opinion of Kofa and Yuma - not for us. We spent a week at the park a few years ago and found the residents, and especially the management, very unfriendly. Good luck in your search.

Congratulations on 3 years. Kellie and I are only 6 1/2 months on the road so far and living in the bird for almost a year now. Going on the road should be the date I use. The places you see and people you meet are what makes this life style great.

Thanks Cat Lady. We look forward to a visit there. Our cats never go out outside un-attended, so they are safe from wild life. Usually they are on a harness and leash, but at Patagonia, after the preserve closed and we were the only ones on site, they were allowed outside off leash as long as we were very close by. A slight risk, but mainly from Hawks, not cats or coyotes.

You'll love Park of the Sierras in Coarsegold. The Park is beautiful and the people friendly. I stayed there June 1 - August 30, 2011 and then left only because I had to get back to La. to renew my driver's license. They have a 90-day policy anyway. I do miss the residents. They could not have been friendlier or more welcoming. But pay attention to your pets. They do have mountain lions, etc., that will take away your pet in a heartbeat. I saw that personally.

I read your travel plans and figure we may cross paths in Oregon - we plan to be in Roseburg in April. Or in Spokane if you plan to be there by late May. We have a few friends there and will visit them before heading up to Alaska. I'd love to give Max a little cuddle again!
